REMINISCING THE ARABELLA DRESS

Fashion is ever-changing. Trends for today will soon become those of the past without so much as a warning, but style is timeless. Style comes in the confidence of the girl wearing the dress, it manifests itself in vintage designs, treasured as much today as they were 20, 50, 100 years before. Style doesn’t follow trends. Instead it seeks to flatter more than to make a statement, and that is a statement all in itself.

I think that’s why we love Arabella. Not only is this dress a portrait of the vintage-inspired Boho style we love, complete with a twirly lace skirt and stretchy cotton bodice, this dress has style. It is timeless, a dress that can be worn anywhere for any occasion, at any time. Arabella was the dress that began it all. Its layered lace is what put Belle & Kai on the map, and we’re still celebrating it because dresses like that deserve to be celebrated.

Currently available in three color options, each Arabella colorway tells a story. You may have already heard, but we are absolutely crazy about white lace. We love the way it filters that dreamy golden hour sunlight, and the innocence it evokes. Arabella White does all of those things. In addition to its photogenic design, this dress makes a great flower girl or first baptism dress. Burgundy is romantic, regal, and festive. We love this color for holiday gatherings, winter weddings, and family photos set with a crisp autumn backdrop. Then there is Lavender, a springtime beauty. This color makes a lovely Easter dress or flower girl dress fit for a spring flower girl, complete with a flower crown. It is reminiscent of fairy tales and childhood whimsy.

Of course, we love the way each Arabella dress twirls with a hi-lo hemline composed of layers of lace. We can’t get enough of the way it photographs and how much little girls love to wear it. We recommend purchasing one in each color, but these colors won’t be around much longer. Some sizes are already selling out, but don’t worry, the timeless style of Arabella will live on in new colorways being released in Spring 2019.
